About BIRN Germany
BIRN Germany (Vald. Birn GmbH) was founded in 1975 in Mülheim an der Ruhr as the sales company for drive technology and cast iron solutions of the Danish BIRN Group. Since the relocation of production in 2015, the company has manufactured the entire drive technology product portfolio of the BIRN Group at its site in Mülheim with around 35 employees. Production includes volume and single-part manufacturing as well as dynamic balancing of drive elements. The portfolio includes proprietary products such as the VTP V-belt pulley made of GGG spheroidal graphite cast iron, the LB and Bico couplings as well as customer-specific custom products such as V-belt pulleys, taper bushings, sprockets, hubs and clamping elements. The cast blanks for the VTP V-belt pulleys are produced in the BIRN and ULDALL foundries in Denmark; machining, deburring, grinding and KTL coating take place in Germany. With more than 20 machining machines and a warehouse of over 10,000 items, BIRN Germany supplies customers in industrial and drive technology in over 50 shipping countries on all continents.
