About VERBUND

VERBUND is Austria's largest electricity generator and has focused since its founding in 1947 on generating electricity from renewable energies, primarily from hydropower. The fleet of power plants includes over 125 installations, including run-of-river and reservoir power plants in Austria and Bavaria with around 8,400 MW of hydro capacity and nearly 700 MW of wind power. In Germany, VERBUND operates 21 hydropower plants on the Inn and Danube, making it the largest hydro generator in Bavaria and the second largest hydro producer in Germany. For industrial and business customers, the company offers electricity procurement, EEG direct marketing, flexibility marketing, battery storage, e-charging solutions, certificates of origin and CO2 certificates, as well as project development for wind and solar parks. The customer platform VISION handles market data, trading and marketing processes digitally. The group headquarters is in Vienna; in Germany, there are locations in Munich, Düsseldorf, and Berlin.
