History of the vib Group
- 2002
Foundation of vib GmbH as a railway engineering consultancy; participation in projects such as Bahn 2000 Mattstetten–Rothrist, Alp Transit Pfäffikon–Hurden and the Lötschberg base tunnel.
- 2005
Engagement in the servicing and maintenance of track construction machines, in particular railway cranes; development of crane-specific remote maintenance software, distributed via crane manufacturer Kirow.
- 2007
Development of automation software for MFS track maintenance vehicles for a Swiss track construction company.
- 2008
Framework agreement with SBB AG for the servicing and maintenance of the SBB crane fleet from manufacturer Kirow.
- 2010
Commission from SNCF for a comprehensive overhaul of the KRC 1200 railway crane as well as support of recovery operations in France.
- 2012
vib GmbH officially becomes a service partner of crane manufacturer Kirow.

Overhaul and refurbishment of the KRC 1200 railway crane with new wheelsets on behalf of SBB AG.
