About us
Vitz-Metallguss is a family company founded in Velbert in 1946, now in its third generation, and manufactures aluminium castings using sand casting (hand moulding) and gravity die casting processes. From single pieces to series production, custom castings are produced for industries such as mechanical engineering, rail vehicles, the automotive industry and the arts. The company supports customers from consultancy and joint planning through melt treatment to the production of cast products. Quality assurance has included, since 2014, a stationary thermal analysis unit for monitoring the quality of AlSi melts, a density index tester used to check the melt several times a day, and a mobile metal analyser from SPECTRO (optical emission spectrometry). The company has been DQS-certified since 1998, currently to ISO 9001:2015. With 18 employees, the company produces at Industriestraße 29 in the Röbbeck industrial area of Velbert.

Quality
Melt quality is ensured by melt treatment and testing equipment: a stationary thermal analysis unit for AlSi melts (since February 2014), a density index tester (several times daily) and a mobile SPECTRO metal analyser (optical emission spectrometry).
