About VolaPlast
VolaPlast GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1961 in Spangenberg in North Hesse and has been manufacturing technical plastic parts using the injection moulding process for over 60 years. The company processes more than 1,000 tonnes of high-performance plastics per year, including PPS, POM, PEI, PEEK, PBT, PC, PA, PS, PMA, PE, PP, ABS and TPE. The machine park comprises over 50 injection moulding machines with clamping forces between 25 and 210 tonnes; small and medium-sized components weighing between 0.15 and 140 grams are manufactured with a part-dependent production tolerance of 0.01 mm. In addition to its core business of injection moulding, the portfolio includes systems engineering with a focus on windshield washer systems for the automotive industry, complemented by assembly services, multi-component technology, overmoulding of metal parts as well as laser and ultrasonic welding. The main customers are the automotive industry and medical technology, with focuses in the areas of autonomous driving, sensor technology and electromobility. In addition to its headquarters in Spangenberg, the owner-managed family business, now in its third generation, has been producing at its manufacturing site in Kyustendil, Bulgaria, since 2021.
