About Weber & Leucht
Weber & Leucht GmbH Application Lab is an owner-managed testing and conformity assessment laboratory founded in 2002 as a university spin-off and headquartered in Fulda. The laboratory is accredited to DIN EN ISO 17025:2018 (DAkkS, certificate D-PL 17072-01-00) and tests all types of textiles, including colour fastness, abrasion resistance, strengths, textile construction as well as washing, drying and autoclaving processes. Further focal points are the testing of detergents, cleaning and care products, functional surfaces such as coatings, sealants and impregnations, weathering tests, thermal analysis, fibre analysis, microbiological testing as well as microplastic, PFAS and contaminant analysis. In addition, the laboratory carries out product certifications with its own quality seal and develops individual testing programmes based on the principle of "Fitness for Use". Its customers are brand companies from the textile, detergent and cleaning industries, medical technology and construction. A US Support Office in Atlanta serves international customers. For rapid product development and product safety, the laboratory also offers the TEX-QMS® quality concept, the MLC Index® for microplastics from textile sources and the PFAS Index®.
