About Welesgard
Welesgard is a Ukrainian manufacturer founded in Kyiv in 2007, producing liquid-applied anti-corrosion coatings for metal and reinforced concrete structures. The product portfolio comprises around 50 systems based on acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, polyurethane, zinc and silicone, as well as solvent-free high-solids and water-based coatings for primers, intermediate and finish coats. The goal is to achieve high (15–25 years) and very high (over 25 years) service lives under the harshest conditions, such as splash zones of offshore platforms, tank interiors and underground pipelines. Another focus is all-weather coatings that can be applied at temperatures down to -18 °C, at high humidity and without dew point restrictions. Annual production capacity is 500,000 litres. References include more than 2,000 objects in Ukraine and ten other countries, including bridges, offshore platforms, hydroelectric power plants, pipelines and tanks, with a total of more than 5,000,000 m² of coated surface. In-house R&D and testing laboratories as well as technical project support complement the manufacturing operations.

Quality and International Certification
The coating systems were tested in European testing laboratories (including the Institute for Corrosion Protection Dresden, SP Sweden, COT NL, Element UK) in accordance with EN 1090-2, ISO 12944-9, ISO 20340, NORSOK M-501, EN 10290, EN 10289, BS 6920-1 and AWWA C210-15. The in-house testing laboratory covers salt spray testing, UV condensation, cathodic disbondment, adhesion, film thickness and hardness testing; certified inspectors monitor surface preparation and application on site.
