About Wellpappenwerk Lucka
Wellpappenwerk Lucka GmbH belongs to the Eikemeier group of companies and is one of the major corrugated board plants in eastern Germany. At the Lucka site in Thuringia, more than 200 employees, including around 30 apprentices, manufacture corrugated board and further process it into cartons, transport packaging and folding cartons. The corrugated board is produced on a modern BHS corrugator with a 2.80 m working width; available flute types are A, B, C, D, E, F, G as well as combinations. Further processing includes die-cutting on a rotary die-cutter and die-cutting machines, creasing and cutting on a slotter with a 4.20 m working width, inline processing, flexo printing in the three-colour High Print process, as well as folding and gluing of folding cartons. Customers come from industry and agriculture; delivery is also just-in-time. The company can look back on a tradition of more than 120 years, dating back to the founding of the Leipziger Wellpapierfabrik in 1900.
