About WEMA-Beschichtungstechnik GmbH
WEMA-Beschichtungstechnik GmbH is a contract coater founded in 1984 and based in Elz (Rhein-Lahn district, Westerwald). The company coats components made of steel, cast iron, stainless steel, aluminium and other light-metal alloys for the food industry, the chemical industry and mechanical engineering. Using the electrostatic powder coating process, all common RAL colours as well as metallic and effect colours in various gloss levels are applied; in addition, high-performance polymers such as PEEK for temperature-sensitive applications and Halar (ECTFE) for chemically stressed components are used. Further processes include fluidized bed sintering with polyamide powder, the Minicoat/Maxicoat fluidized bed process for small and filigree metal parts such as clips and springs, as well as wet painting with water- and solvent-based paints in 1K and 2K quality using a cup gun or electrostatic spray process. The company develops special processes and processing guidelines in collaboration with customers and is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015.

Materials and Coating Processes
Steel
Steel components are coated using the electrostatic powder coating process in all common RAL colours.
Cast iron
Cast iron components are given corrosion-protective powder coatings using the electrostatic process.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel components can be powder coated where optical or additional corrosion protection requirements exist.
Aluminium
Aluminium and other light-metal alloys are electrostatically coated in metallic and effect colours.
PEEK
High-performance polymer for coated products exposed to high temperatures and diffusion requirements, e.g. in the food industry.
Halar (ECTFE)
Fluoropolymer powder coating for chemically resistant products, frequently used in the chemical industry.
Rilsan (Polyamide 11)
Polyamide powder that forms corrosion-resistant, abrasion-resistant coatings on preheated components in the fluidized bed sintering process.
Wet paint
Water- and solvent-based paints in 1K and 2K quality for components that are not suitable for powder coatings.
