About us
Werkzeugbau Ullmann is a family business from the Erzgebirge region that has specialised since 1936 in the manufacture of cutting and forming tools, fixtures and special parts. The sole proprietorship is run in its third generation by owner Gert Ullmann, a master toolmaker, and employs 6 staff as well as 2 apprentices. Its range of services includes conventional machining, CNC machining and precision machining of harder materials using EDM (spark erosion) and wire EDM. Its customers are mainly suppliers to the automotive and electrical industries as well as regional industry. Historically, the company supplied, among others, the VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau. The company is located at Lutherstraße 1 in Bockau, where a new building was occupied in 2001.

History
- 1936
Foundation of the company Erich Ullmann Cutting and Stamping Tools in Albernau by Erich Ullmann.
- 1940
Purchase of the property on Lutherstraße in Bockau.
- 1970er
Operation with approx. 20 employees; production of tools mainly for VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau as well as for consumer goods production. To avoid nationalisation, the operation was reduced to 3 employees and run by Wolfgang Ullmann.

Death of Wolfgang Ullmann; Renate Ullmann continued to run the company.
- 1999
Gert Ullmann took over the company on 01.01.1999 with 2 employees and 2 apprentices.
- 2000
Groundbreaking ceremony for a new building in September.
