About SEVERT
Wilhelm Severt Maschinenbau GmbH is a family-owned company founded in 1964 and headquartered in Vreden (West Münsterland), with a subsidiary in Gorlice, Poland. Approximately 400 to 450 employees manufacture welded assemblies with unit weights ranging from 500 kg to 80 t – ready for installation upon request, including machining, painting, and assembly of electrical and hydraulic components up to 160 t. Value creation begins in the company's own cutting center with an annual capacity of over 30,000 t (Oxy-cutting, Plasma cutting, Beveling), and encompasses manual welding at over 60 workstations with positioning technology, as well as automated robotic welding on 15 robotic systems, including portal systems for large components up to 45 t. The materials used are quality steels, high-strength fine-grain structural steels, and wear-resistant special steels. In addition to contract manufacturing, SEVERT develops and manufactures its own machinery: workpiece positioners for 500 kg to 100 t, robotic peripherals, complete solutions, as well as special systems and fixtures. Customers include technology leaders from the construction machinery, agricultural technology, vehicle manufacturing, recycling, energy technology, and logistics sectors.
