About WR Weberei Russikon AG

WR Weberei Russikon AG was founded in 1887 as a silk weaving factory and is today the largest cotton jacquard weaving company in Switzerland. Since 2012, the company has been 100 % owned by the Austrian Getzner Textil AG and produces Damask at the Russikon site for the African clothing market. Only high-quality Jacquard fabrics made of 100 % cotton are produced, characterized by their pattern and tactile quality. The machinery has been continuously renewed in recent years and comprises 96 Itema R9500 gripper looms and 96 Bonas Jacquard machines. As a subsidiary of Getzner Textil AG, which has been manufacturing textiles since 1818 for applications ranging from fashion to protective and workwear and technical textiles, the company is part of a European textile group. The professional training of apprentices, including as a Textile Technologist EFZ specializing in Mechatronics, is part of the company's tradition.
