About Zindt
Zindt GmbH from Bad Dürrheim is a long-established mould and toolmaker with over 100 years of company history. The company develops and manufactures moulds and tools for products made from EPS and EPP particle foam – from the draft through design and prototyping to model building. In addition to mould making, Zindt offers contract manufacturing for large-part machining from lot size 1: steel and aluminium as well as other materials are machined on modern 3- and 5-axis machining centres in dimensions up to 2,800 x 1,600 x 600 mm. This is complemented by turning (CNC and conventional), radial drilling, TIG and MIG/MAG welding as well as a fully equipped model-making department. Customers come from the automotive, packaging, sports and toy industries, transport, safety equipment, medical technology as well as the insulation, foundry and construction industries. Zindt offers waterjet cutting together with its partner company Burkhardt Wasserstrahltechnik from Schramberg. Over the past ten years, Zindt has built 459 particle foam moulds; delivery is just-in-time free to the machine, free on board.

Materials and processes
Expanded Polystyrene (Styropor®, Airpop)
Lightweight foam with high insulation performance, used e.g. in packaging and insulation industries.
Expanded Polypropylene
Robust, dimensionally stable foam with high shock absorption, e.g. for automotive and safety technology.
Polypropylene (regranulate)
Can be combined with EPP to create recyclable single-material solutions.
Steel
Material for moulds and tools as well as large-part machining in contract manufacturing.
Aluminium
Typical material for particle foam moulds and machined parts.
