About ZORN INSTRUMENTS
ZORN INSTRUMENTS GmbH & Co. KG is a testing equipment manufacturer based in Stendal (Saxony-Anhalt) with a tradition dating back to 1870. The family-owned company develops and manufactures testing and measurement technology for materials and soil testing, including Light Drop Weight Testers (ZFG 3.1, ZFG 3000, ZFG D plus) for the dynamic plate load test, the ZORN Mini for narrow trenches, the AT 2.0 asphalt tester, CBR devices, hardness testers and laboratory equipment such as the ZPF 2.0 pressure filtration unit. All mechanical components of the devices have been manufactured in-house in the company's own CNC production since 1992 – on seven automated CNC turning centers and nine milling machines including 5-axis simultaneous machining. In addition to equipment manufacturing, ZORN offers contract manufacturing of prototypes, individual parts and series from steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium, plastics and composites, titanium and nickel alloys as well as special materials, complemented by heat treatment, welding, blasting and 3D measurement. Customers come from road construction, civil engineering, earthworks and pipeline construction, track construction, engineering firms, testing laboratories and public authorities; in contract manufacturing from the automotive industry, medical technology, the fittings industry, mechanical engineering and the food industry. More than 50 % of products are exported to over 100 countries.
